Maybe you can make a comment as to what ZFS version this is?

This is based on the old zfs-119 builds from Apple. It's zpool version 8. zfs version 2.

Your should write a guide on how to use it, install it on the home or other partitions.

Personally speaking, this gives me reason to update to Snow Leopard. Nice stuff!

Very cool!! I was broken when I heard the news. I have an 8 drive pool (half 1.5TB and half 1TB drives, I am in the middle of going to a 12TB pool) and I want to stay with ZFS. As I look at other options I don't see anything that can offer the same (or similiar) features. I was considering standing up an Open Solaris box but I don't want to have 2 OSes in my home network.

I did shoot myself in the foot and lost my pool while trying to migrate to 10.6. I now have it working again but it took some acrobatics. I'm sure the installer you built will make it easier for people using 10.6 to get up and running with ZFS. Please keep up the good work! :-) Joel
