This is pretty awesome. I haven't installed the beta yet, but I'm eager to try.

Unfortunately, the memory requirements are greater than what I'm running on a machine at home now. It's a real pain to get the memory upgraded on that box. :( That's not your fault, though.

I just wanna ask about will this ZFS for Mac version crash my Mac OS X 10.5.I've seen a post talk about the ZFS pkg download from ADC and warn us that it may crash our Mac.the how about this?I

Very cool!! I was broken when I heard the news. I have an 8 drive pool (half 1.5TB and half 1TB drives, I am in the middle of going to a 12TB pool) and I want to stay with ZFS. As I look at other options I don't see anything that can offer the same (or similiar) features. I was considering standing up an Open Solaris box but I don't want to have 2 OSes in my home network.

I did shoot myself in the foot and lost my pool while trying to migrate to 10.6. I now have it working again but it took some acrobatics. I'm sure the installer you built will make it easier for people using 10.6 to get up and running with ZFS. Please keep up the good work! :-) Joel

This is based on the old zfs-119 builds from Apple. It's zpool version 8. zfs version 2.
